DIY Flooring Home Improvements – Floor Heating Systems
One is the recently popular technologies in soils heated floors. But the idea goes back thousands of years. The Romans are good for a system known as cold marble floors. Modern systems have the same goal but different ways of running.
Heating the soil by now generally into two categories: come and radiant electric or pipes.
Floor heating systems using electric layer of material with wire mesh or other conductive material is embedded. Electricity through the grid and heat is conducted slowly to the surface, where it keeps your feet warm and to some extent part.
At first glance, it does not sound very safe, especially in areas such as bathroom or kitchen, in the liquid on the floor is a common phenomenon. In fact, electrical underfloor heating as safe or safer than a heating pad. The network is well insulated and the soil material itself – whether wood, ceramic, vinyl or other inserts – an even greater security.
Systems of electric floor heating cost a few hundred dollars on average to install a bathroom, but they usually consist of a few cents a day worth of electricity. Depending on the size and style, they can cause significant heating capacity, in the bathroom. The kitchens are open normally, and they will do well on the field and in a certain area of heating.
Heating the soil have the same goal – to the floor and warm rooms. But they work very differently. Whether water or air flow (both are technically liquid), they emit heat through a series of tubes. These pipes can be installed above or below the ground floor.
Above ground systems are not literally on the ground. They do not go to the heater. Instead, they are on the ground, such as plywood installed on a concrete floor, but in fact, under the tread.
Below ground systems are down or, more commonly in the soil. Nestled in a series of plates or grooves, the tubes snake across the region except for a few centimeters. Sometimes the pipes along the wet concrete is placed. The reflective material is usually installed under the tubes to direct the heat upward.
In all systems, the effect is to the advantage of two things: (1) the heat rises, (2) by cooling the feet tends to whole body feel cooler.
The heat pipes or heating ducts surrounding material. Even when warm air rises, it must start on the ground. Thus, the soil is kept warm, which is usually a pleasant sensation on the feet. Nobody likes Stepping Out in a cold bath or kitchen floor. Continuing upstairs, where, according to the system that heats the space of a few degrees are required for each temperature. Many systems radiant heating to keep a big box full comfortably without additional heating of another home heating.
Among the advantages of both are the lack of air flow of nature, which are heated, as is the case with many forced-air systems. They are also invisible. There are no heat sources are or may be blocked. This gives the room a very clean and allows heat in the kitchen, where it can be difficult to find openings.
Which is best depends on local conditions of cost, quality installation and so on. Radiant heating can be low because the electrical systems can sometimes generate a low hum. But a liquid move through a radiant system can be, even if the system is not good.
